ACER PALMATUM Purple Ghost Japanese Maple-attractive red purple leaves with black veins in spring. The colors are intense and the new leaves almost glow before they age to red in summer and then intense red and orange in autumn.
‘Purple Ghost’ is a very striking tree, with deep lavender and purple leaf. This leaf has deep lavender and purple colors divided by a dark maroon reticulated vein.

Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring.
